Hello everyone! As the new year begins and everything is renewed; the spring tide surges, nurturing hope. As we hurriedly bid farewell to the passionate years of 2015 and step hand in hand into the great journey of 2016, today, we gather together to celebrate the New Year of the Monkey, express our entrepreneurial sentiments, discuss development plans, and jointly celebrate the official establishment of the Huangshi City Enterprise Federation Friction Material Raw Materials Branch. First of all, I would like to thank everyone for their trust and support in allowing me to serve as the first president of the branch. On this occasion, please allow me to sincerely thank Secretary Dingming of the Hubei Province Friction Sealing Materials Association, Director Huanming of the Municipal Economic and Information Commission, President Baichang of the Municipal Enterprise Federation, and all leaders for building such a broad platform for communication, exchange, and cooperation among friction material raw material enterprises in the city; I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude and high respect to all sectors of society that have long cared for, helped, and supported the development of Huangshi's friction material raw material enterprises!

2016 is the first year of the 13th Five-Year Plan and the decisive stage of building a moderately prosperous society, as well as a year of tackling supply-side structural reforms. "Mass entrepreneurship and innovation" has become the trend of the times, with new industries, new formats, and new models continuously emerging. Under the new normal, how to fully leverage the potential and resilience of our friction material raw material enterprises, and how to overcome the difficulties and challenges posed by the economic downturn, tests our wisdom and courage. Some say that the friction material raw material industry will enter a "cold winter" in the market as the global economy declines, but I want to say that there are only sunset enterprises in the world, not sunset industries. As long as traditional industries can take flight with the wings of innovation, keep pace with the tide of supply-side structural reform, fully utilize the advantages of various government policies, and increase the efforts to transform and upgrade their traditional products, we will have the opportunity to leap over the winter and step into another spring.

As the first president of the branch, I feel the heavy responsibility and the arduous task. It is an immense honor to serve the entrepreneurs in our city's friction material raw material industry, and I am greatly encouraged. In order not to disappoint everyone's expectations, I am determined to actively unite the majority of member enterprises during my term, closely focus on the overall economic development of the city, uphold the dual banners of "service" and "construction", strengthen confidence, maintain patience, and establish ambition, actively engage in the torrent of Huangshi's economic development, and achieve the following points in my work:

First,,work together for development. An organization cannot come together without a common belief; without strict rules and discipline, it will be a scattered sand; without emotional and friendly bonds, it is difficult to achieve cohesion and cooperation. Therefore, we will base ourselves on leading ideals and beliefs, self-discipline according to rules, build activity platforms, strengthen emotional connections, attract talents, gather strength, take on responsibilities, and unite sincerely to promote the continuous development of our city's friction material raw material enterprises and the branch.

Second,concentrate efforts to contribute. I will start by changing roles, adhering to the principle of "member-based, service-oriented, and development-focused" in running the branch, strengthening communication and exchange in organization, thought, and information, enhancing mutual understanding and trust among members, supporting each other, uniting sincerely, forming complementary advantages among industry enterprises, and promoting the overall development of the industry. We will fully leverage the advantages of the friction material raw material industry, rich in resources and talents, actively explore the establishment of more mobile and regional cooperation platforms and mechanisms, and actively explore mobile management and marketing concepts, allowing members to help each other, learn from each other, complement each other's strengths, cooperate for mutual benefit, and jointly create new brilliance in our careers, continuously enhancing our contribution to Huangshi's economic development.

Third,,dedicate ourselves to providing services. Serving members wholeheartedly is the basic responsibility of the branch and the source of its vitality. The branch can only survive and find value by being rooted in its members and serving the industry well. We will start from the actual needs of members and member enterprises, leverage the organizational advantages of the branch, integrate resources, optimize the environment, and truly make services project-based and normalized. We will always focus on providing practical ideas and efforts for industry enterprises, thinking of what members think, and addressing what members urgently need, making the branch a true "home for members". We will actively seek support from leaders at all levels and relevant departments, smooth channels, and coordinate relationships inside and outside the branch to create a good external environment for the branch's survival and development.

Fourth,,dedicate ourselves to cultivating talent. We will strive to build the Friction Material Raw Materials Branch into a learning organization, sincerely serving members to learn with heart, learn happily, and learn interactively, especially under the new situation where "Internet+" has become an important engine for current enterprise development, guiding and helping members to establish internet thinking, seize opportunities for change, and actively contribute to their careers. We will actively guide industry member enterprises to adapt to the trend of the times with the five development concepts of "innovation, coordination, green, openness, and sharing", grasp the overall trend of economic development, truly turn thoughts into ideals, knowledge into wisdom, and information into opportunities, making the excellent even more excellent. We will also focus on building more platforms for showcasing talents, promoting outstanding industry entrepreneurs, allowing more members to stand out and shine.

Leaders, guests, and colleagues, crisis is opportunity in danger, and new normal and new changes compel our industry to plan well for transformation in development. The new era and new goals provide our industry with historical new opportunities for development and offer us a stage for great achievements. I believe that with the care and guidance of leaders at all levels, and the unity and effort of all members, the Huangshi City Enterprise Federation Friction Material Raw Materials Branch will surely become a vibrant, pragmatic, enterprising, and influential first-class enterprise branch organization, contributing greater wisdom and strength to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of Huangshi's industry, and to help Huangshi take the lead in building a moderately prosperous society in the province and rapidly become a modern mega city!

I am pleased to hear that the Friction Material Raw Materials Branch of the Huangshi City Enterprise Federation will be officially established on February 25, 2016. This is not only a significant event for the friction material industry in Huangshi City but also an important event for the national friction material industry. The China Friction Sealing Materials Association sincerely congratulates this initiative!

Huangshi is an important production base for the friction material industry in China, with key enterprises such as Huangshi Saifu Friction Material Co., Ltd. and a cluster of friction material production companies.

After more than ten years of development, the friction material industry in China is rapidly growing. However, a significant factor currently restricting the development of the friction material industry is the quality and stability of raw materials. To develop towards high-end markets and to go global, the Chinese friction material industry must have stable and reliable raw materials to support and ensure its growth.

The Huangshi region produces essential raw materials for friction material products. After 20 years of development, the raw materials for friction materials in the Huangshi region have formed an industrial chain encompassing mining, rough processing, deep processing, modification, and compounding. There are currently 15 specialized production and processing enterprises for friction material raw materials in the Huangshi region.

The friction material raw products produced in the Huangshi region have a certain brand effect nationwide and occupy a significant market share, making Huangshi a major supply base for friction material raw materials in the country.

It is hoped that after the establishment of the Friction Material Raw Materials Branch of the Huangshi City Enterprise Federation, it will gather the local production and processing enterprises of friction material raw materials, leading the production of raw materials in the region towards new and higher goals with technology as the guide, providing stable and high-quality raw materials for national friction material production, and creating a brilliant path for the production and processing of national friction material raw materials, striving to make the branch a highly welcomed organization by enterprises.

Friction Material Raw Materials Branch of Huangshi City Enterprise Federation

Introduction

The Huangshi Daye region is rich in metal and non-metal minerals such as copper, iron, silica, and feldspar, which are essential raw materials for friction material products. After 20 years of development, there are currently 15 specialized production and processing enterprises for friction material raw materials, with an annual output of 300,000 tons of various raw materials. The products include various mineral friction enhancers, friction reducers, metal sulfides, fiber materials, granular materials, and composite materials.

As a famous ancient mining city in China and the cradle of modern steel industry, Huangshi Daye has unique advantages and favorable conditions for the development of friction material raw material production and processing.

1. Obvious resource advantages. A total of 273 mineral deposits of various sizes have been discovered and confirmed, with 53 types of metal and non-metal minerals. The reserves of silica rank second in the world, making it one of the six major copper production bases and ten major iron production bases in the country, as well as a key production area for building materials.

2. Obvious industrial advantages. A long history of mining and processing has cultivated a large number of technical talents and industrial workers. In recent years, various enterprises have undergone technological transformation, continuously increasing investment, and improving production and technical levels. Many enterprises have established 'industry-university-research' bases in collaboration with universities, and their products enjoy high recognition and reputation nationwide.

3. Complete industrial system. The raw materials for friction materials in the Huangshi Daye region have formed an industrial chain that includes mining, rough processing, deep processing, modification, and compounding, with 15 production and processing enterprises and an annual output of 300,000 tons of various raw materials.

4. Large market share. The friction material raw products produced in the Huangshi Daye region have a good brand effect nationwide and occupy a significant market share, with over 50% of the main mineral fillers coming from the Huangshi Daye region.

5. Good development environment. Huangshi is located in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and is an open port city. Major highways such as Huhong, Daguan, and Hangrui pass through the area, and it is a half-hour drive from the provincial capital, Wuhan. Huangshi has been included in the policy scope of 'Two Comparisons' (comparing with the old industrial bases in Northeast China and the development of the western region) and is a sub-center city of the Wuhan urban circle comprehensive reform pilot zone, enjoying significant policy support as a resource-depleted transformation city approved by the State Council. Huangshi is in a favorable policy environment, and the municipal government places great importance on the development of the friction material raw material industry, providing rare opportunities for the development of the friction material raw material industry through good service measures and efficient administrative efficiency.
