It has been applied in many sports venues of domestic colleges and universities, and quartz sand is an ideal material for modern athletic fields, football fields, and golf courses.

Water treatment filter media

Due to the smaller particle size of quartz sand in a three-layer filter bed compared to that in a two-layer filter, and the presence of a finer layer of heavy anthracite filter media beneath the quartz sand layer, the water quality after filtration in a three-layer filter bed is better than that in a two-layer filter bed under the same conditions, even with a higher filtration rate. When using quartz sand, it is advisable to use it in combination.

Quartz sand filter bed

The effluent from the sewage treatment plant enters the bottom of the filter through the inlet pipe, and after being evenly distributed by the water distributor, it passes through the filter media layer from top to bottom. During this process, the effluent is filtered, removing pollutants from the water. At the same time, the concentration of pollutants in the quartz sand filter media increases, and the pollutant level in the lower filter media layer is higher than that in the upper layer. At this point, the air lift pump located in the center of the filter is activated to lift the lower quartz sand filter media to the sand washing device at the top of the filter for cleaning. After washing, the filter sand returns to the filter bed, while the pollutants generated during cleaning are discharged. The quartz sand filter media moves from top to bottom under the action of the lift pump, agitating the effluent. The filter media inside the filter can be cleaned in a timely manner, and it has a strong ability to withstand pollutant load shocks. The special internal structure of the quartz sand filter and its operational characteristics allow for coagulation, clarification, and filtration to be completed within the same tank.
