In the application of brake pads, potassium titanate whiskers are added as reinforcing and modifying fillers in the friction material formulation of brake pads, primarily serving the following functions:

1. The friction materials for brake pads typically require excellent friction performance, high-temperature resistance, wear resistance, and appropriate mechanical strength, with common friction materials including various metal oxides, carbon materials, ceramic particles, and other additives.
