On July 21, 2017, the first member representative assembly and the first council meeting of the Huangshi City Friction Material Raw Material Association grandly concluded in the conference room on the fifth floor of the Huangshi Economic and Information Technology Commission, during which a grand unveiling ceremony and a lawyer appointment signing ceremony were also held.

Before the meeting, Zhang Huanming, the director of the Huangshi Economic and Information Technology Commission, and Deputy Director Huang Yi had friendly exchanges and communications with Zhang Yukun, the vice president of the China Friction Sealing Material Association, Wang Sanquan, the chairman of Huangshi Saifu Friction Material Co., Ltd., and Wang Yiting, the chairman of Huangshi Xinyi Mineral Co., Ltd.

Zhang Yukun, Wang Sanquan, Huang Yi, Yang Baichang, the president of the Huangshi Entrepreneurs Association and the Entrepreneurs Federation, Fang Ping, the head of the Social Organization Registration Section of the Huangshi Civil Affairs Bureau, Chen Xingan, the director of the Huangshi Industrial Association Office, Fu Shunyu, the secretary-general of the Huangshi Entrepreneurs Association and the Entrepreneurs Federation, and guests such as Luo Gaozhi and Zou Jubao attended the first member representative assembly and the first council meeting of the Raw Material Association.

The meeting was hosted by Huang Haiqiao, the chairman of Huangshi Haina New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. Subsequently, the leaders of the Huangshi Civil Affairs Bureau read the decision to approve the preparation of the association, and the host read the congratulatory letter from the China Friction Sealing Material Association and introduced the preparatory work of the Huangshi City Friction Material Raw Material Association. The preparatory group of the Raw Material Association insisted on reflecting industry needs, combining industrial policies, building a cooperation and communication platform, leading technological innovation in friction materials, and promoting excellence; organizing the formulation of association standards; assisting competent authorities in revising and formulating qualification standards; organizing expert technical exchanges while conducting program reviews and appraisals; and proactively collaborating with local member units to implement industry standards, promote industry self-discipline, and standardize services, highlighting the industrial characteristics of Huangshi.

The meeting elected Feng Wenlin, the general manager of Daye Jinpeng Friction Material Co., Ltd., as the vote supervisor, and the assembly elected the first council of the Huangshi City Friction Material Raw Material Association. Feng Wenlin announced the results of the council's voting election.

Wang Yiting, the chairman of Huangshi Xinyi Mineral Co., Ltd., was elected as the president, Wang Sanquan, the chairman of Huangshi Saifu Friction Material Co., Ltd., was elected as the honorary president, Shi Daijia, the general manager of Daye Wangping Friction Material Factory, was elected as the executive vice president, Zhao Liefa, the general manager of Daye Qifa Mineral Products Co., Ltd., Zhao Lieyi, the general manager of Daye Duxin Friction Powder Co., Ltd., Chen Yue, the dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Hubei University of Technology, and Xu Bo, the general manager of Huangshi Saiter Friction Material Co., Ltd., were elected as vice presidents, and Cao Zhongyou, the general manager of Daye Lianyou Friction Material Factory, was elected as the supervisor, while Huang Haiqiao, the chairman of Huangshi Haina New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., was elected as the secretary-general. The council and the new team were all elected with full votes.

The grand convening of the first member representative assembly and the first council meeting of the Huangshi City Friction Material Raw Material Association signifies that Huangshi City will provide stronger support for the friction material raw material industry.

Wang Yiting, the newly elected president of the Huangshi City Friction Material Raw Material Association, delivered an inaugural speech. He stated that Huangshi, as an important production base relatively concentrated in China's friction material industry and a major supply base for raw materials nationwide, has formed an industrial chain of mining, rough processing, deep processing, modification, and compounding for friction material raw materials after 20 years of development. There are currently 15 specialized production and processing enterprises for friction material raw materials in the Huangshi area. As the newly established Friction Material Raw Material Association, it will integrate the raw material resources of the Huangshi area, actively build a communication platform for 'co-creation, co-progress, and sharing', and make greater contributions to the development of the friction material industry, striving to make the Huangshi City Friction Material Raw Material Association a highly welcomed organization by enterprises.

Zhang Yukun attended the meeting and spoke. He sincerely congratulated the successful convening of the meeting on behalf of the China Friction Sealing Material Association! The convening of the first member representative assembly and the first council meeting of the Huangshi City Friction Material Raw Material Association signifies that the raw material production enterprises in Huangshi now have their own self-discipline organization. The purpose of both the Raw Material Association and the Friction Association is to provide services and support for the production of friction materials. In the future, they should strengthen communication and contact, work together to form a joint force, and jointly serve the development of the industry. He also hopes that they will contribute ideas and suggestions for the development of the industry. Finally, he proposed several suggestions and hopes to work together with the Raw Material Association: first, to gather the production and processing enterprises of friction material raw materials in the region to provide stable and high-quality raw materials for friction material production in the region and even nationwide; we are pleased to see that a group of experts and scholars are already serving local friction material raw material production enterprises; second, to continue to lead the production of raw materials in the region towards new and higher goals with technology as the guide; third, to establish an industry self-discipline mechanism, formulate industry regulations, standardize self-management behaviors in the industry, coordinate economic disputes and product prices among enterprises, and guide, supervise, and coordinate issues within the industry to protect the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises; fourth, to undertake certain industry and social responsibilities, and to provide new experiences for the supply-side reform of the friction material industry and local enterprises.

During the meeting, a grand unveiling ceremony for the Huangshi City Friction Material Raw Material Association was held, with Zhang Yukun and Huang Yi, the deputy director of the Huangshi Economic and Information Technology Commission, unveiling the association.

Wang Yiting, the newly elected president of the association, presented the honorary president certificate of the Raw Material Association to Wang Sanquan, the chairman of Huangshi Saifu Friction Material Co., Ltd.

During the meeting, the Huangshi City Friction Material Raw Material Association held a signing ceremony with a law firm. Wang Yiting, the newly elected president of the Raw Material Association, and Wang Banghua, the legal advisor appointed by the Raw Material Association, signed a cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties. This is still rare in the history of professional association establishment and has significant practical and historical significance.
