1. Characteristics of Nitrile Rubber Powder:

Additionally, the solubility parameter of nitrile rubber is 9.3-9.9, which means it has good compatibility with thermoplastic phenolic resins. The two have good blending properties, making nitrile rubber a commonly used type of rubber in friction materials, particularly for products with high performance requirements, such as passenger car disc brake pads, heavy-duty truck brake pads, engineering machinery friction plates, and urban bus vehicle brake pads. Nitrile rubber was first industrially produced in Germany in 1937, with outstanding advantages in oil and polar solvent resistance, primarily used to manufacture oil-resistant rubber. The stronger the oil and solvent resistance of nitrile rubber, the better its mechanical properties (tear strength and elongation). Therefore, the use of nitrile rubber powder is becoming increasingly widespread.

b: In a rigid resin matrix, mixing in powdered nitrile rubber particles reduces wear of the product due to the presence of soft elastomer points throughout the composite material matrix.
c: Powdered nitrile rubber acts as an elastomer, providing good toughening effects and improving the impact resistance of the product.
d: Reduces the hardness of the product, which can lower braking noise.

 

3. Safety Guidelines
a: Should be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated indoor area, with a storage temperature of 5-35°C, avoiding exposure to sunlight, rain, or heavy pressure.
b: No special safety measures are required during use, as long as good industrial operating practices are followed. Prevent dust formation and keep away from fire sources.
